Update (10/1) 10:45am PST: There were 27 entries that were over the allowed cap. These entries have been eliminated. I have completed 3/4 of the rescoring, but still have 3+ hours of work to go and want to do a series of checks to make sure everything is right. Because of other content commitments, the rescored contest will not be posted until Thursday afternoon.
Important Note (9/30): We caught an error in the contest today. Despite checks within our data entry for the contest, we have discovered that some people were able to bypass the $200 cap. Obviously this is not allowed and these entries will be disqualified. But it is trickier than just eliminating the offending entries, because people should have advanced from week 1 and not these people who have illegal entries.
We are going to redo all the results from week 1 until current to reflect the disqualification of the illegal entries. This will help some teams and hurt others. Full results will be available Wednesday morning. We apologize for the inconvenience, but feel we need to correct this situation so that this contest is fair for all those that played by the rules.
