Quarterbacks

QB Kurt Kittner (Atl) will be the team's starting QB this weekend according to head coach Dan Reeves. If you were waiting on this announcement, best of luck to you.

QB Michael Vick (Atl) is still out with his broken leg, but he still expects to play the last week of November.

QB Kordell Stewart (Chi) is fully healthy again and has assumed the #2 QB spot over Rex Grossman.

QB Patrick Ramsey (Was) believes the key to winning this weekend is "to beat the blitz". Obviously, Ramsey realizes that every opponent is going to come after him until the Redskins prove they can pass block effectively. Ramsey has been beaten up almost every game this season. Last Sunday was no exception. He is sore, but he practiced on Wednesday and should start this weekend.


Running Backs

RB Emmitt Smith (Ari) is still out with his injured shoulder but is expected to be healthy in two weeks. Smith says there should be plenty of room in the backfield for two RBs (himself and Marcel Shipp).

RB Willis McGahee (Buf) is making great progress in returning from his knee injury and has been activated by the team. However, head coach Gregg Williams said it's too soon to tell when McGahee could be ready to play, if at all this season.

RB Stephen Davis (Car) did not practice on Wednesday and is a surprising questionable on the team's injury report with a sore ankle. The team says the injury crept up on Davis beginning Tuesday morning. Unless the injury worsens, Davis should play this weekend. However, it would not be surprising to see the team lighten his load a bit by giving DeShaun Foster a few more carries.

RB Rod Smart (Car) practiced on Wednesday but might miss this weekend's game.

RB Adrian Peterson (Chi) did not practice on Wednesday and might miss another week with his injured ankle.

RB Corey Dillon (Cin) did not play the 2nd half of last Sunday's game because his groin tightened up. Head coach Marvin Lewis says Dillon is expected to play this weekend. However, Dillon did not practice on Wednesday (as was the case last week).

RB William Green (Cle) will not play this weekend. He has been suspended by the team for one game for his recent arrest for DUI and marijuana charges.

FB Richie Anderson (Dal) is expected to play this weekend after missing last Sunday's game with an inflamed back and shoulder.

RB Domanick Davis (Hou) practiced on Wednesday and should play this weekend.

RB Stacey Mack (Hou) partially participated in Wednesday's practice but should be able to play this weekend.

RB Dominic Rhodes (Ind) did not practice on Wednesday but should return for Thursday's session.

RB Ricky Williams (Ind) practiced on Wednesday and is expected to play this weekend after missing two games with his injured ankle.

RB Fred Taylor (Jac) has a message for Colts S Mike Doss: "I'm going to punish (Doss). I'm going to bust his (butt)." Taylor claims Doss pushed his head to the ground in the first Jaguars / Colts meeting this season.

RB Larry Johnson (KC) has moved past Derrick Blaylock and is now the team's #2 RB.

FB Rob Konrad (Mia) practiced on Wednesday and is likely to play this weekend.

WR Bryan Gilmore (Ari) has signed a 2-year extension with the team.

WR Eric Moulds (Buf) is feeling much better and is close to 100% healthy from his injured groin.

WR Kevin Dyson (Car) returned to practice on Wednesday. There is a slight possibility that Dyson could see action this weekend, but he is more likely to make his Panthers debut in week eleven.

WR Karl Hankton (Car) practiced on Wednesday and should play this weekend.

WR Marty Booker (Chi) practiced on Wednesday has a "real good chance of playing" this weekend according to head coach Dick Jauron. If Booker does not suffer a setback, he should play.

WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Cin) partially participated in Wednesday's practice and will likely miss another week with his injured hamstring.

WR Kevin Johnson (Cle) has lost his starting position to Andre Davis. There is no word on how many compromising photos that Quincy Morgan has in his possession.

WR Ed McCaffrey (Den) could possibly miss the remainder of the season as his quadriceps injury his not improving.

WR Charles Rogers (Det) is still out with his broken collarbone.

WR Derrius Thompson (Mia) practiced on Wednesday and should play this weekend despite his injured groin.

WR D'Wayne Bates (Min) will be back in the starting lineup as soon as he returns to full health (which could be this weekend).

TE Rashod Kent (Hou) did not practice on Wednesday and will likely miss another week with his injured calf.

TE Dallas Clark (Ind) practiced on Wednesday. He expects to play this weekend after missing two games with his injured hamstring, but he is questionable on the injury report.

TE Jim Kleinsasser (Min) will be given a bigger role in the team's offense according to offensive coordinator Scott Linehan.

PK John Kasay (Car) has converted 18 consecutive FG attempts.

PK Jason Elam (Den) suffered a groin injury while attempting a FG last Monday. There is no official word on the extent of the injury, but head coach Mike Shanahan said he has "no idea" how long Elam will be out. One thing is certain: kickers and strained groins are not a good match.

KR Eddie Drummond (Det) is still out with his ankle and knee injuries.

KR Brad Pyatt (Ind) will likely miss 6 weeks with his injured back. Troy Walters should assume the return duties.

T L.J. Shelton (Ari) has signed a 5-year extension with the team.

G Travis Claridge (Atl) has been lost for the season after being placed on the injured reserve list with his injured knee.

G Kynan Forney (Atl) practiced on Wednesday and could play this weekend.

T Bob Whitfield (Atl) has been lost for the season after being placed on the injured reserve list with his broken leg.

T Marc Columbo (Chi) has been lost for the season after being placed on the injured reserve list with his injured knee.

C Olin Kreutz (Chi) did not practice on Wednesday and might miss this weekend's game with his injured ankle.

G Matt O'Dwyer (Cin) practiced on Wednesday and should play this weekend.

G/C Bill Conaty (Dal) was signed by the team to provide depth on the offensive line.

T Ryan Young (Dal) should be limited in practice but be able to play this weekend.

When asked if he could envision returning to the game this season, Mobley said "I'm not certain about that right now. I'm worried about my personal health more than anything right now." Mobley is scheduled to meet with a neck specialist Thursday.

LB Jim Nelson (Ind) is out with his injured collarbone.

LB Mike Maslowski (KC) partially participated in Wednesday's practice and could play this weekend.

LB Zach Thomas (Mia) did not practice on Wednesday due to his injured groin. He hopes to participate in Thursday's session and play this weekend.
