Note that all Cleveland QBs have a bye this week.

QB Jake Plummer (Den) is still out with his broken foot.

QB Brett Favre (GB) has a tiny fracture on his throwing thumb.  He took a few snaps in Wednesday’s practice and will be limited to remainder of the week as well.  He will start this weekend, but his effectiveness (especially on the long ball) is a big unknown at this point.

QB David Carr (Hou) will most likely miss this weekend’s game with his sprained ankle.  Tony Banks will get the start.

QB Mark Brunell (Jac) is still out with his injured elbow.

QB Byron Leftwich (Jac) lost an INT but gained a lost fumble on Tuesday.  Elias Sports Bureau has taken away an INT for Robaire Smith and given Kearse a sack and a forced fumble.

Note that all Kansas City QBs have a bye this week.

RB Richie Anderson (Dal) is still bothered by the stinger in his back and shoulder and is getting a second opinion on the injury.

RB Adrian Murrell (Dal) has been re-signed by the team.  There are rumors that Murrell could see action this weekend and eat a bit into Troy Hambrick’s touches.  Another possibility is that Murrell was signed as a fallback option if Richie Anderson’s injury is more serious than was first thought.

Under league rules, he is eligible to return to Tampa Bay after the ninth week of the season, and there is still a stall in the Buccaneers locker room with his nameplate and number hanging over it.  That’s a pretty strong sign of the team’s intent to bring Dudley back.
