Arizona Cardinals
- The Cardinals are 0-5 on the road this season. They have been outscored
65 to 175.
- The Cardinals have lost ten games in a row on the road dating back to 2002.
- WR Anquan Boldin is having one of the finest rookie seasons ever. He is
on pace to grab 96 passes for 1453 yards and to score 9 touchdowns.
- Boldin has caught 66 passes on the season. The rest of the Cardinals' receivers
have only caught 46 passes combined.
- Boldin has caught 5 or more passes in nine of the Cardinals eleven games
this season.
- Boldin has caught 18 passes for 327 yards and 3 touchdowns in his last
three games.
- QB Jeff Blake has thrown for 2 (or more) touchdown passes in five games
this season.
Atlanta Falcons
- The Falcons have given up 30 or more points in six of the eleven games this
season.
- QB Doug Johnson has a QB rating of 71.1 on the season. QB Kurt Kittner has
a QB rating of 32.5.
- The good news? WR Peerless Price is leading the team in receptions and receiving
yardage. The bad news? He is on pace for only 833 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.
- Price has over twice as many targets as his nearest teammate. Price has
110 targets on the year while TE Alge Crumpler is second with 54.
- The Falcons are 2-3 on the road this season. They have scored 77 points
while giving up 102 points.
Baltimore Ravens
- In the first ten weeks, WR Marcus Robinson caught 9 passes for 76 yards
and no scores.
- In last week's game, Robinson managed to catch 7 passes for 131 yards and
four touchdowns. Yeah
I saw that coming (roll eyes inserted here)
- Robinson had managed to catch only 10 of the 26 passes thrown to him up
until last week. Last week he caught 7 of the 12 passes thrown his way.
- Robinson had his most receiving yardage in a game since the 1999 season
(week fifteen against the Lions)
- QB Anthony Wright threw for 319 yards and 4 touchdowns last week. That
was the top performance by a Ravens' quarterback since last season.
- RB Jamal Lewis has rushed for at least 100 yards in eight of the eleven
games this season.
- Lewis hasn't finished a game with less than 68 yards rushing this season.
- The Ravens are 4-1 at home this season.
- TE Todd Heap leads the team with 88 targets to date on the season.
Buffalo Bills
- The Bills have lost four games in a row. They have only scored 35 total
points during that time.
- The Bills have lost their last four road games by a combined score of 95
to 21.
- QB Drew Bledsoe has four straight games with less than 185 passing yards
(averaging 144 yards per game during that stretch)
- RB Travis Henry scored 9 touchdowns in his first six weeks of the season.
Since then he has scored none.
- Henry has averaged 119.4 yards rushing in his last five starts.
- The good news? WR Eric Moulds has been targeted 25 times over the last three
weeks. The bad news? He only caught 8 of those looks (32.0%).
Carolina Panthers
- The Panthers are only 3-3 in their last six games.
- The Panthers have only lost one game at home this season (37-17 loss to
the Titans)
- The Panthers have only rushed for 263 yards on 94 attempts over the last
three weeks (2.8 YPC)
- In his last two starts, RB Stephen Davis has carried the ball 54 times for
only 151 yards. He has scored 2 touchdowns though.
- QB Jake Delhomme has had less than 200 passing yards in eight of the eleven
games this season.
Chicago Bears
- The Bears are 4-4 in their last eight games after starting the season 0-3.
- The Bears have outscored the opposition 148 to 133 in the last eight games
(18.5 to 16.6)
- The Bears are 3-2 on home field this season.
- In his last four games, RB Anthony Thomas has only averaged 3.4 YPC (96
carries for 324 yards)
- Last season, Thomas rushed for 721 yards in twelve games and averaged 3.4
YPC. This season, Thomas has rushed for 721 yards in nine games and averaged
4.3 YPC.
- WR Marty Booker has caught 13 passes in the last three games.
- WR Dez White has only caught 7 of the last 21 passes thrown his way (33.3%)
Cincinnati Bengals
- The upstart Bengals have won five or their last six games. In that stretch
they have averaged 27.8 points scored per game.
- The Bengals are 2-3 on the road this season.
- In the last three games the Bengals have run the ball 135 times for 665
yards (4.9 YPC)
- QB Jon Kitna is putting up Pro Bowl numbers. He is on pace to throw 28
touchdown passes and only 13 interceptions.
- Since week four, Kitna has thrown 16 touchdown passes against only 4 interceptions.
- WR Chad Johnson is on pace to catch 95 passes for 1437 yards and score 12
touchdowns.
- In his last three games against the Steelers, Johnson has caught 18 passes
for 300 yards but hasn't reached the endzone.
- Johnson has been targeted 37 times over the last three games and has caught
26 of those balls (70.3%)
- The Bengals haven't won in Pittsburgh since 1999 (three games)
Cleveland Browns
- The Browns are 2-3 on the road this season.
- RB James Jackson has done a decent job as the starter. He has gained 276
rushing yards in the last four weeks and scored three times.
- QB Kelly Holcomb has had one good game this season. Week 11 vs. the Cardinals
when he threw for 392 yards and 3 scores.
- In his other seven games, Holcomb has averaged 162.7 passing yards per
game and thrown 6 touchdowns against 9 interceptions.
- The Browns are only 1-4 in their past five games.
Dallas Cowboys
- The Cowboys are 3-2 in their last five games. They have been outscored 68
to 55.
- The Cowboys are 5-1 at home this season. They have outscored the opposition
115 to 95.
- RB Troy Hambrick is only averaging 3.2 YPC on the season. In his last three
starts, he has only 100 rushing yards on 41 carries with no scores.
- The Cowboys trio at receiver (Bryant, Galloway and Glenn) has only caught
20 of the last 54 passes thrown their way (37.0%)
Denver Broncos
- The Broncos are 2-3 on the road this season but have outscored their opponents
116 to 101.
- The Broncos are 5-3 against the Raiders in Oakland since the Raiders returned
to Oakland back in 1995.
- RB Clinton Portis has rushed for over 100 yards in three straight games.
His 165-yard effort last week was his highest total this season.
- WR Rod Smith has caught 19 passes over the last two weeks but only gained
170 receiving yards.
- In three games against the Raiders, Portis has only gained 144 total rushing
yards (he has scored twice though)
Detroit Lions
- The Lions are 3-2 on home field this season.
- The Lions have lost six straight games to the Packers going back to the
2000 season.
- QB Joey Harrington has had seven games this season with 2 or more interceptions.
- Harrington put up better numbers in his rookie season than this year. More
interceptions and a lower YPA this season.
- In three games against the Packers, Harrington has completed 61 of 134 passes
(45.5%) for 659 yards (4.9 YPA) and 4 touchdowns against 9 interceptions.
- The Lions rushing attack has been invisible all season. They are last in
the NFL averaging only 79.5 yards per game and have scored only 3 rushing
touchdowns.
- The Lions leading rusher, RB Shawn Bryson is on pace to reach 577 rushing
yards and score a single touchdown.
Green Bay Packers
- The Packers are 3-2 on the road this season.
- The Packers have defeated the Lions in six straight games.
- In his last fifteen meetings with the Lions, QB Brett Favre has thrown
for 268.2 yards per game and tossed 26 touchdowns.
- Favre is on pace to throw for only 2,999 yards, which would easily be his
lowest total as a Packer.
- RB Ahman Green has rushed for 100 yards in four straight games and in seven
of the last eight.
- Green is on pace to rush for 1,929 yards, catch 60 passes for 477 yards
and score 21 touchdowns. Fantasy MVP? Yes, I think so.
- WR Donald Driver is leading the packers in targets over the last three weeks
with 17 balls thrown his way (he caught only 8 of them)
Houston Texans
- The Texans are 2-3 at home this season.
- In his last six starts, RB Domanick Davis has carried the ball 129 times
for 553 yards (4.3 YPC) and scored 3 touchdowns.
- In his last two starts, Davis has carried the ball 50 times for only 137
yards (2.7 YPC) with no touchdowns.
- WR Andre Johnson has caught at least 3 passes in six straight games.
Indianapolis Colts
- The Colts are 4-1 at home this season.
- QB Peyton Manning has faced the New England Patriots eight times in his
career. In those games he
- threw for 251 yards per game
- completed 55.6 % of his throws
- threw 14 touchdowns against 13 interceptions.
- Manning has thrown for more than 215 yards in nine straight games.
- In his last two games, RB Edgerrin James has rushed for 235 yards, caught
12 passes for 72 yards and scored 5 touchdowns.
- WR Reggie Wayne hasn't caught a touchdown in four straight contests.
Jacksonville Jaguars
- The Jaguars are 2-3 at home this season.
- QB Byron Leftwich has thrown for less than 210 yards in five straight games
(he is averaging 173.6 YPG in those contests)
- Leftwich has only thrown 3 touchdowns against 9 interceptions in his last
six games.
- Fred Taylor has become Mr. Durable? He hasn't missed a start in the last
27 games.
- Taylor is on pace to rush for 1337 yards but hasn't been as explosive as
in years past (only averaging 4.2 yards per carry)
Kansas City Chiefs
- In three of the last five meetings against the Chargers in San Diego, a
single point has decided the game.
- In his last four meetings against the Chargers, RB Priest Holmes has rushed
for 409 yards; caught 215 yards worth of passes and scored 4 touchdowns.
- Holmes only has one 100-yard rushing game in his last nine games.
- In his last three meetings against the Chargers, QB Trent Green has averaged
285 passing yards per game and tossed 7 touchdowns.
Miami Dolphins
- The Dolphins are 4-1 on the road this season (20.2 PF to 14.2 PA)
- RB Ricky Williams is on pace to reach 391 carries. He is only averaging
3.4 yards per carry though.
- Williams has scored 8 touchdowns this season.
- Williams has reached 100-yards rushing in two straight games.
- The Dolphins have given up 10 points in four of the five road games this
season (lone exception was 31 points to the Titans).
Minnesota Vikings
- The Vikings are 3-2 on the road this season but are 0-2 in the last two
including losses to both the Chargers and Raiders.
- In his last two games, QB Daunte Culpepper has only thrown 1 touchdown pass
against 4 interceptions.
- RB Michael Bennett is back! He had 73 rushing yards on 15 carries and scored
a touchdown last week.
- WR Randy Moss has only gained 81 yards on 9 receptions in his last two games.
New England Patriots
- The Patriots are 4-2 on the road this season.
- The Patriots have won seven games in a row.
- QB Tom Brady has averaged 294.8 passing yards in his last five games.
- RB Kevin Faulk has rushed for 508 yards and caught 39 passes for 380 yards.
The bad news is no touchdowns on the season though.
- In his last four games, TE Daniel Graham has caught 16 passes for 207 yards
and 2 scores.
New Orleans Saints
- The Saints are 2-4 on the road this season.
- The Saints have won four of their last six games.
- RB Deuce McAllister has rushed for 100+ yards in eight straight games.
- McAllister is on pace to rush for 1786 yards this season and to score 12
touchdowns.
New York Giants
- The Giants have lost three games in a row and have scored only 30 points
during that stretch.
- The Giants have scored 13 points or less in six of the last eight games.
- QB Kerry Collins has been very streaky this season:
- In the first three weeks, he threw 6 touchdown passes against only 2
interceptions.
- In his next two games, he threw 0 touchdown passes against 7 interceptions.
- In weeks seven thru nine, he threw 5 touchdown passes against only
1 interception.
- In the last three weeks, he threw only 1 touchdown against 5 interceptions.
- In the last eight weeks, Collins has thrown only 6 touchdown passes against
13 interceptions.
- RB Tiki Barber has only scored 1 rushing touchdown in the past seven weeks.
- Barber only had 13 rushes last week against the Buccaneers (his lowest of
the season).
- WR Amani Toomer only has 1 touchdown in his last eight games.
- Giants' receivers Toomer and Hilliard have only caught 22 of the last 56
passes thrown their way (39.3%)
New York Jets
- The Jets are 4-3 in the last seven games.
- RB Curtis Martin still hasn't scored a touchdown this season despite having
227 touches.
- In five games, QB Chad Pennington has thrown 10 touchdown passes.
- WR Santana Moss has now scored a touchdown in seven straight games.
- WR Curtis Conway is leading the team in targets over the last three weeks
with 23 (he caught only 9 of them)
Oakland Raiders
- The Raiders are 3-2 at home this season.
- The Raiders have defeated the Broncos each of the last two games in Oakland
but have lost five of the last eight at home against the Broncos.
- QB Rick Mirer continues to do well (did I really just write that?). In his
three starts, he has completed 66.6% of his throws and has not thrown an interception.
- The Drought is over! The Drought is over! WR Jerry Rice caught his first
touchdown pass of the season.
- RB Tyrone Wheatley continues to get touches. He has 74 carries in the last
three games for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Philadelphia Eagles
- The Eagles are 4-1 on the road this season.
- The Eagles have won six games in a row.
- QB Donovan McNabb hasn't thrown an interception in his last four starts
and has thrown 5 touchdowns.
- McNabb has completed 65.5 % of his throws over the last five games.
- RB Brian Westbrook has scored a touchdown in six of his ten games this season.
- Westbrook hasn't had more than 9 carries in the last four weeks.
Pittsburgh Steelers
- The Steelers are only 2-3 at home this season.
- The Steelers have defeated the Bengals three straight times in Pittsburgh.
- In his last eight meetings against the Bengals, WR Hines Ward has 37 receptions
for 557 yards and 5 touchdowns.
- In five meetings against the Bengals, WR Plaxico Burress has 26 receptions
for 382 yards and 2 touchdowns.
San Diego Chargers
- The Chargers are 1-4 at home this season.
" In five games against the Chiefs, RB LaDainian Tomlinson has 419 yards
and 2 touchdowns.
" Tomlinson is on pace to rush for 1551 yards and score 12 touchdowns
on a very poor football team.
" Boston continues his up and down play. He has five games with at least
82 receiving yards and six games with less than 30 yards.
San Francisco 49ers
- The 49ers are 0-5 on the road this season.
- RB Garrison Hearst continues to get the bulk of the work at running back.
He has 166 carries on the season to Kevan Barlow's 110.
- QB Tim Rattay finally had a poor effort last week against the Packers. He
only completed 46.7 % of his throws for a paltry 142 yards (4.73 YPA).
- The 49ers' running backs have only rushed for five touchdowns all season.
Seattle Seahawks
- The Seahawks are 6-0 at home this season. They have outscored their opponents
153 to 99.
- QB Matt Hasselbeck has thrown 19 touchdown passes against only 8 interceptions
this season.
- Talk about consistency. RB Shaun Alexander continues to carry the ball 20-22
times in each game (now eight straight games with 20-22 carries)
- WR Darrell Jackson is on pace to grab 65 receptions for 1172 yards and score
9 touchdowns despite being plagued with dropped passes.
- WR Koren Robinson scored his first touchdown since week three in the contest
against the Ravens last week.
- WR Bobby Engram is having his finest season since 1999 with the Bears.
St. Louis Rams
- The Rams have won seven of their last eight games
- The Rams are 5-0 on home field having outscored the opposition 167 to 99.
- RB Marshall Faulk has rushed for 100 yards in two straight games.
- WR Torry Holt now has 84 receptions on the season. He is on pace to catch
122 passes for 1869 yards and 15 touchdowns.
- QB Marc Bulger is having his problems. He has only thrown 4 touchdown passes
against 10 interceptions in his last four starts.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- The Buccaneers are 3-2 on the road this season.
- Keyshawn who? WR Charles Lee stepped onto the field and the Buccaneers
didn't miss a beat. He caught 5 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown.
- RB Thomas Jones scored his first touchdown since week eight of last season.
- WR Keenan McCardell has caught at least 3 passes in every game this season.
- Over the past three weeks, McCardell has been targeted 35 times and has
caught 23 (65.7%).
Tennessee Titans
- The Titans are 4-2 on the road this season.
- RB Eddie George had his best game since 1999 last week against the Falcons.
He 115 yards on 26 carries (4.4 YPC) and scored a touchdown.
- George is averaging 19.5 carries per game this season. With his low YPC
though it only works out to 61.3 rushing yards per game.
- WR Justin McCareins has scored a touchdown in three straight games.
- WR Derrick Mason hasn't scored a touchdown in five weeks nor gone over 100
receiving yards.
Washington Redskins
- The Redskins are 1-6 in their past seven games.
- The Redskins have hardly been an offensive juggernaut over the last six
games. They have averaged only 168.2 passing yards per game.
- WR Laveranues Coles cooled off after a sizzling beginning to this season
but is still on pace to catch 86 passes for 1280 yards.
- In four of his last five games, WR Rod Gardner had two receptions or less.
- RB Trung Canidate has scored two touchdowns in the last three games.
- Canidate has 61 carries in his last five games but only 165 rushing yards
to show for it (2.7 YPC)
