11:15 am ET According to Adam Schefter of the Denver Post: "Clinton Portis' condition is improved, but probably not enough for the Broncos to feel comfortable playing him on the artificial turf. More than likely, Portis will be deactivated as Denver goes with a backfield by committee."
11:30 am ET ESPN's Sal Paolantonio, broadcasting live from St. Louis, just advised the network's NFL Countdown viewers that Isaac Bruce will not play in today's game against the Bengals.
12:04 am ET According to Detroitlions.com, Stephen Davis is inactive for today's game against the Lions. Davis, who didn't practice all week, is bothered by knee and ankle injuries. DeShaun Foster is slated to start in Davis' absence.
12:26 am ET According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Ike Hilliard will be deactivated today.
12:40 am ET ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Steve McNair will start this week. He is improved from last week, but still limited. OPINION (Dodds) - He will start, but possibly not finish. We know the Titans want this game very badly and we also know that Houston is a weak opponent. We think McNair will play as long as he needs to so we could still see Neil O'Donnell in this game. McNair also could get worse after a hit, etc. For these reasons, we believe that McNair should be avoided this week (despite the great matchup against Houston) except in situations where you have virtually no choice.
