to play the next weekend," said Palmer.  "That's what they're telling
me.  It's not strong enough to protect it.  I'd be shocked (if he
played this weekend)."

QB Jeff Garcia (Cle) has been lost for the remainder of the season
after being placed on the injured reserve list with his injured knee.

questionable for this weekend with his injured toe.

CB Samari Rolle (Ten) is out with his injured knee.

S Lance Schulters (Ten) is out with his injured foot.

CB Andre Woolfolk (Ten) is out with his injured wrist.

S Jason Doering (Was) has been lost for the remainder of the season
after being placed on the injured reserve list with his injured ankle.

CB Shawn Springs (Was) is out with a concussion.



Other

HC Norv Turner (Oak) is not expected to return in 2005 according to
some of his assistant coaches.

HC Dennis Erickson (SF) had been rumored to be interested in the Ole
Miss Rebels HC position but will remain with the 49ers at least
through the season's end.

HC Nick Saban (LSU) is rumored to be interested in the Dolphins HC position.
