QB Michael Vick (Atl) practiced on Wednesday but is questionable for
this weekend due to his injured shoulder. Both Vick and coach Jim Mora
are optimistic he'll play. "Early indications are that those guys
should be able to play Sunday," Mora said. "That's something we're
obviously striving for."

"I'm looking to play the whole game," Vick said. "It's totally coach
Mora's decision as far as how much we'll play. As of right now, all
that we know is we're going there to win a football game, and I'm
going to play the entire game."

but officially remains questionable for this weekend.  However, he is
expected to play. How long he plays is a question though. Asked after
Thursday's workout what will dictate how long his starters play
Sunday, coach Jim Mora replied: "It'll be determined by one thing, and
that's me. And that's all I can tell you about that right now.
Everyone is playing. We're playing this game. It's important that we
play and win and try and do everything we can in preparation to go out
there and have a great performance. And that's all we're thinking
about. All we're thinking about is the first play, which is the
kickoff. And then after that, we'll decide which way we go. ..."

He sounds optimistic he'll be ready for the playoffs. "That's what we
wanted to look at, to make sure it wasn't (broken ribs),"
Roethlisberger said. "I think every football player has had some
injury related to their ribs, and it's one of those things that, as a
quarterback, you take a lot of hits in the ribs and midsection. It's
just a thing that will get better." Tommy Maddox will start for
Roethlisberger if the rookie can't go.
