QB Fantasy Points Study (2000-2003)


Note - fantasy points determined as follows:

  • 1 point every 20 passing yards
  • 4 points per passing touchdown
  • -1 point per interception
  • 1 point every 10 rushing yards
  • 6 points per rushing touchdown

Over the past four seasons, the following average fantasy points totals have resulted in these rankings…

Top Five Finish: 319 or More Fantasy Points
Stud QB Level
Top 12 Finish: 259 - 318 Fantasy Points
Good Starting QB Level
Top 24 Finish: 185 - 258 Fantasy Points
Decent Starting QB Level
Top 36 Finish: 84 - 184 Fantasy Points
Marginal Backup QB Level
Out of the Top 36: Less Than 84 Fantasy Points
