Tony Banks, Houston Texans:

• Has only achieved the 'marginal fantasy backup' level twice over the past four seasons
• His fantasy points per game in 2001 would have qualified him as a 'decent fantasy quarterback'

Charlie Batch, Pittsburgh Steelers:

• He last was a 'decent fantasy quarterback' during the 2000 season with the Lions
• He hasn't done anything since the 2001 season when he averaged 16.0 FP/g in his ten games played (that would have almost qualified him as a 'good fantasy quarterback' over a 16-game stretch)

Jeff Blake, Eagles:

• He has been at best a 'marginal fantasy backup' over the past four seasons
• If you look at his FP/game, he would have been a decent fantasy quarterback in two seasons and a good fantasy quarterback in 2002

Drew Bledsoe, Bills:

• He has only hit the 'good fantasy quarterback' level once in the past four seasons

Kyle Boller, Ravens:

• Struggled as a rookie in 2003, averaging only 7.9 fantasy points per game

Todd Bouman, Saints:

• Has never really had the opportunity to showcase his talents yet

Tom Brady, Patriots:

• Has become a 'good fantasy quarterback' over the past two seasons

Drew Brees, Chargers:

• Has performed at the 'decent fantasy' level over the last two seasons

Aaron Brooks, Saints:

• He has been very consistent over the last three years (18.5 FP/g to 19.7 FP/g)
• He has been just under the 'Stud' level in the past three years

Mark Brunell, Redskins:

• He hasn't reached the 'good fantasy' level since the 2000 season (would have hit it in 2001 with one more game played)
• His FP/game has been decent over the last four years but has also declined each season

Mark Bulger, Rams:

• He was a 'good fantasy quarterback last year and almost performed at the 'Stud' level over 16 games

David Carr, Texans:

• His FP/game jumped slightly in 2003 but still left him mired in the 'decent fantasy' level

Quincy Carter, FA:

• Looked promising at times last year but is mired in a terrible cocaine scandal at this time
• He almost performed at a 'good fantasy' level in 2003

Chris Chandler, Rams:

• He hasn't reached the 'good fantasy quarterback' level in the past four years (not even in FP/game)

Kerry Collins, Raiders:

• His FP/game numbers have been very consistent throughout the four seasons (15.1 FP/g to 16.8 FP/g)
• He has been at or near the 'good fantasy' level in each of the past four seasons but hasn't approached the 'stud' level

Tim Couch, Browns:

• He has not approached the good fantasy level over the four years
• Last year was his worst FP/g numbers by far (3.4 FP/g worse than his previous low of 13.2 FP/g)

Daunte Culpepper, Vikings:

• He has performed at the 'stud quarterback' level in each of his four seasons if you look at FP/game
• His 401.9 fantasy points during the 2000 season was the high mark over the last four years and the 4th highest of all-time

Jake Delhomme, Panthers:

• Delhomme became the leader of the Panthers' offense last year but only performed at the 'decent fantasy' level

Trent Dilfer, Seahawks:

• Dilfer hasn't approached even the 'decent fantasy' level in the last four seasons

Brett Favre, Packers:

• Consistently puts up 'good fantasy' numbers or better and never misses a game

A.J. Feeley, Dolphins:

• The Dolphins spent a lot (2nd round pick) on a player with only 10 career starts and a season-high of only 11.7 FP/game

Jay Fiedler, Dolphins:

• He looked on his way after a 'good' performance in 2001 but was never able to match that success
• His FP/game numbers put him firmly in the 'decent quarterback' tier in each of the four seasons

Doug Flutie, Chargers:

• His FP/game numbers last year multiplied by 16 games would have put him at the 'good fantasy' level
• He hasn't managed to hit the 'good fantasy quarterback' level over the four years

Gus Frerotte, Vikings:

• He has only reached the 'marginal backup' level once in the four years (back in 2000)
• His 20.1 FP/g mark last year in his three games showcase his potential in this Vikings offense if Culpepper gets hurt

Rich Gannon, Raiders:

• Prior to last season's fiasco, Gannon was firmly entrenched in the 'stud' tier
• His FP/game numbers last year were 8.1 points per game behind his previous low in this four-year stretch

Jeff Garcia, Browns:

• He has performed at the 'good fantasy' level or better in each of the four seasons
• Last year, his 20.7 fantasy points per game would have placed him at the 'stud' level if he played in all sixteen games

Trent Green, Chiefs:

• He has been near the 'stud quarterback' level in each of the past two seasons and was near the 'good fantasy' level in 2001

Brian Griese, Buccaneers:

• He spent three straight seasons in the 'decent fantasy' tier but his FP/game in the 2000 season was at the 'stud' level

Rex Grossman, Bears:

• He just got his feet wet last year and his 9.6 FP/game wasn't very good

Joey Harrington, Lions:

• His FP/game average went up a full two points in 2003
• He was a 'decent fantasy quarterback' in 2003

Matt Hasselbeck, Seahawks:

• He has improved in each of the past four seasons
• He just missed the 'stud quarterback tier' in 2003
• His FP/game average in 2002 was at the 'good fantasy' level

Tim Hasselbeck, Redskins:

• He got lots of playing time last year but his 9.7 FP/game average would have placed him only at the 'marginal backup' tier over a 16-game season

Kelly Holcomb, Browns:

• Big things were expected from Holcomb last year but his 11.9 FP/game average did not live up to those expectations

Brad Johnson, Buccaneers:

• He has been very good while with the Buccaneers. His FP/game average in the last two seasons puts him at the 'good fantasy' level

Doug Johnson, Jacksonville:

• He got his opportunity to shine in 2003 but didn't perform very well. He was mired in the 'marginal' level in both FP and FP/game

Danny Kanell, Broncos:

• Nothing to see here, move along

Shaun King, Cardinals:

• Talk about vanishing from sight. He went from a 'good fantasy' producer in 2000 to nothing over the next three years

Jon Kitna, Bengals:

• He has done very well over the last four years. Especially over the last two where his FP/game puts him at the 'good fantasy' level
• Last year, his 281 FPs put him 8th on the Bengals' all-time list. As a reward, he gets demoted to the backup role with the Bengals this year.

Kurt Kittner, New England:

• Simply put, his 2.9 FP/game numbers last year were amongst the worst of all-time. He was dreadful

Byron Leftwich, Jaguars:

• He had an encouraging rookie season with the Jaguars and was a 'decent fantasy quarterback'

Tommy Maddox, Steelers:

• He has been a 'decent fantasy quarterback' in each of the last two seasons

Peyton Manning, Colts:

• What is left to say about Peyton Manning? He is a fantasy stud in every sense of the word

Josh McCown, Cardinals:

• He got his feet wet last year and had a decent 12.5 FP/game

Mike McMahon, Lions:

• He has had his moments but his passing has been too erratic to succeed at the NFL level

Donovan McNabb, Eagles:

• McNabb has been a consistent 'good' producer over the four years including his reaching 'stud' status in 2000
• McNabb was averaging a sizzling 25.9 fantasy points per game in 2002 before injury

Steve McNair, Titans:

• He has just missed the 'stud fantasy' level in three straight seasons. His FP/game in 2003 and 2001 put him in that tier

Rick Mirer, Lions:

• He finally played last year after a long hiatus to let us know why he has been 'mired' on the bench over the last several seasons

Jessie Palmer, Giants:

• He finally got some playing time last year but didn't perform very well

Rodney Peete, Panthers:

• Peete's time has come and gone. He showed flashes in 2002 but it is Delhomme's team now

Chad Pennington, Jets:

• For all the hype for Pennington, he has yet to finish a season as a 'good fantasy' producer (his FP/game in 2002 put him there though)
• Last year his FP/game fell off to 16.3 FP/game from his previous best of 17.0 FP/game

Jake Plummer, Broncos:

• Plummer hasn't finished as a 'good fantasy' producer in the last four seasons
• However, he has just missed the 'good fantasy' level in three seasons and would have hit it last year with 16-games played (18.2 FP/game = 291.2 FP)

Patrick Ramsey, Redskins:

• He has only been a 'marginal fantasy' player over the last two years but his FP/game bump him into the 'decent fantasy' tier

Tim Rattay, 49ers:

• He has never reached the 'marginal fantasy quarterback' tier in the NFL
• In four games with significant action last season, Rattay averaged 16.3 FP/game

Kordell Stewart, Ravens:

• He was a 'good fantasy quarterback' as recently as the 2001 season
• His FP/game in each of the last two seasons put him at a 'decent fantasy' tier

Vinny Testaverde, Cowboys:

• He hasn't reached the 'good fantasy' tier during the last four years
• His 13.8 FP/game last year would be good enough to be in the 'decent quarterback' tier

Michael Vick, Falcons:

• Vick's numbers really dropped off last season. His FP/g dropped 7.4 from the previous season
• Vick was awesome in 2002 when he averaged 22.2 FP/game

Billy Volek, Titans:

• In his two games with significant action (week 12 and week 15), Volek averaged 19.6 FP/game

Kurt Warner, Giants:

• He was at the 'stud' level in 2001
• His FP/game totals have plummeted over the past two seasons

Chris Weinke, Panthers:

• His FP/game average of 14.7 in 2001 was surprisingly solid but he hasn't done anything since

Anthony Wright, Ravens:

• He has never been at a 'decent fantasy' level although his 13.5 FP/g would have got him there if he played in 16 games
• Take away his one great game against the Seahawks, and he only averaged 10.1 FP/game last year
