  • The Cardinals have never defeated the Dolphins in eight games

  • The offense is averaging 111.9 rushing yards and 158.0 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 120.7 rushing yards and 208.3 passing yards per game
  • WR Anquan Boldin had nine games with 80+ yards receiving last year as a rookie

  • The Browns are 3-1 at home this season (and almost knocked off the Eagles)
  • The Browns are 0-3 on the road this season
  • On the road this season, QB Jeff Garcia has completed 45 of 92 passes (48.9%) for 5.01 YPA, thrown 2 touchdowns and had 4 picked off
  • Garcia threw for 180 yards and a touchdown in week one against the Ravens
  • WR Andre’ Davis has three games with 93+ yards receiving this season

  • The defense is giving up 125.0 rushing yards and 216.6 passing yards per game
  • QB Vinny Testaverde had a rushing touchdown last week for the first time since the 1998 season
  • Testaverde has at least one touchdown pass in every game this season
  • Testaverde accounted for four touchdowns last week (3 passing, 1 rushing) last week.  That was his highest output since he put up 5 touchdowns in the 2000 season against the Dolphins

Denver Broncos (vs. Houston)
  • These two teams have never met
  • The offense is averaging 137.6 rushing yards and 251.0 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 106.5 rushing yards and 160.6 passing yards per game
  • The Bengals have given up 64 points in the last two games to the Bengals and Falcons
  • QB Jake Plummer has thrown 10 touchdown passes in the last four weeks but has also been picked off 8 times
  • Plummer threw for a career-best 499 yards last week against the Falcons but the Broncos lost the game
  • Plummer is on pace to throw for 4,096 yards and 30 touchdowns
  • Plummer has never thrown for more than 18 touchdowns in a season (already has 15 this year after eight games)
  • WR Ashley Lelie has caught 12 passes in the last two games
  • Lelie is on pace to catch 56 passes for 968 yards and score 8 times
  • WR Rod Smith is on pace to catch 82 passes for 1,216 yards and score 6 touchdowns
  • RB Reuben Droughns finally slowed down after three straight 100-yard rushing games.  He only managed to rush for 49 yards on 15 carries last week

Detroit Lions (vs. Washington)

  • The Lions are 10-27 lifetime against the Redskins
  • The offense is averaging 76.6 rushing yards and 172.7 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 107.4 rushing yards and 253.3 passing yards per game
  • QB Joey Harrington continues to impress.  He is on pace to throw for 2958 yards, 27 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions
  • Harrington hasn’t had more interceptions than touchdowns in any game this season.  Last year it happened seven times
  • Baby steps for rookie RB Kevin Jones.  He has gained 101 yards on 24 carries in the last two weeks and scored twice
  • WR Tai Streets has been a big disappointment for the Lions.  He is only averaging 7.7 yards per reception

Green Bay Packers (Bye Week)

  • Bye Week

Houston Texans (@ Denver)

  • These two teams have never met
  • The offense is averaging 99.9 rushing yards and 261.3 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 113.9 rushing yards and 233.7 passing yards per game
  • If the Texans prevail this weekend, they will tie the franchise record of five wins in a season
  • QB David Carr has become a great NFL player.  He is on pace to throw for 4,382 yards and toss 21 touchdowns
  • RB Domanick Davis has been a huge disappointment this year.  He is only averaging 2.8 yards per carry on the year and has scored only 3 times
  • Andre Johnson is now an elite NFL receiver.  He is on pace to catch 96 passes for 1,520 yards and score 9 times
  • Johnson hasn’t had less than 58 yards in a game this season

Indianapolis Colts (vs. Minnesota)

  •  The Colts are 11-7-1 lifetime against the Vikings
  • The offense is averaging 111.1 rushing yards and 302.9 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 112.9 rushing yards and 305.9 passing yards per game
  • QB Peyton Manning’s numbers are sick!  He is on pace for 4,939 passing yards, 50 touchdown passes, 9 interceptions and has a YPA of 9.0
  • In his last 844 passing attempts in the regular season, Manning has thrown only 14 interceptions while tossing 52 touchdowns
  • In the last two games, Manning has thrown for 840 yards, 8 touchdowns and only 1 interception but the Colts lost both games
  • The Colts defense has given up 72 points in the last two weeks
  • RB Edgerrin James has only carried the ball 28 times in the last two weeks and gained 121 yards.  He added 144 yards worth of receptions though
  • WR Marvin Harrison has caught four touchdown passes in the last two weeks
  • If WR Reggie Wayne keeps up his stats he’ll finish with 1,328 receiving yards, which would lead the team.  It would be the first time since 1995 that a receiver other than Harrison led the Colts in receiving yardage. 
  • The Colts are still on pace to have three receivers finish with 1,100 yards receiving on the year (Harrison, Wayne and Brandon Stokley)

Kansas City Chiefs (@ Tampa Bay)

  • The Chiefs are 5-3 lifetime against the Buccaneers
  • The offense is averaging 167.6 rushing yards and 238.6 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 112.0 rushing yards and 227.9 passing yards per game
  • The Chiefs have come alive.  They have scored 101 points in the last two weeks
  • QB Trent Green is completing 65.6% of his throws and is on pace to throw for 4,071 yards, 20 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions
  • In the last three games, Green has completed 74.5% of his throws for 973 yards and has tossed 5 touchdowns
  • RB Priest Holmes has had five 100-yard rushing games this year
  • Holmes is on pace to rush for 1,904 yards and score a staggering 28 touchdowns
  • Holmes has scored at least one touchdown in the last thirteen games
  • In the last three years, Holmes has had a multiple-touchdown game twenty-one times
  • In the last twelve games, Holmes has scored 26 touchdowns
  • TE Tony Gonzalez is on pace to catch 77 passes for 1,034 yards and score 9 touchdowns

Miami Dolphins (vs. Arizona)

  • The Dolphins are 8-0 lifetime against the Cardinals
  • Dolphins’ quarterbacks have thrown 8 touchdowns and 13 interceptions on the season
  • RB Sammy Morris is having a little success running the football.  He is averaging 3.7 yards per carry
  • WR Chris Chambers has had three straight games with 3 receptions

Minnesota Vikings (@ Indianapolis)

  • The Vikings are 7-11-1 lifetime against the Colts
  • The offense is averaging 123.1 rushing yards and 308.3 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 106.0 rushing yards and 243.4 passing yards per game
  • QB Daunte Culpepper finally had a mediocre game last week but he is still completing 70.7% of his throws and is on pace to toss 46 touchdowns and pass for 4,983 yards
  • After a sizzling start, Culpepper has only thrown for 414 yards in the last two weeks (how important is WR Randy Moss again?)
  • The Vikings have only rushed for 3 touchdowns this season.  RB Michael Bennett has one of them despite only 6 carries
  • WR Marcus Robinson has 7 receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown in the last two weeks while Moss has been hurt
  • WR Nate Burleson has 12 receptions in the last two week plus a touchdown
  • Burleson has only one 100-yard receiving game thus far in his career

New England Patriots (@ St. Louis)

  • The Patriots are 3-5 lifetime against the Rams
  • The offense is averaging 109.1 rushing yards and 224.4 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 126.6 rushing yards and 212.4 passing yards per game
  • QB Tom Brady’s YPA is an impressive 7.7 this season.  His career best prior to the 2004 season was 6.9
  • Brady has thrown a touchdown in ten consecutive games
  • Brady has thrown 21 touchdown passes in the last ten games
  • RB Corey Dillon has three 100-yard rushing games this season
  • WR David Givens has had three 100-yard receiving games so far in 2004
  • Givens is on pace to finish with 1,239 receiving yards
  • TE Daniel Graham caught seven passes in week one.  Since then he has only caught 11 passes (but has scored four times)

New Orleans Saints (@ San Diego)

  • The Saints are 2-6 lifetime against the Chargers
  • The offense is averaging 93.3 rushing yards and 232.7 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 141.3 rushing yards and 275.4 passing yards per game
  • QB Aaron Brooks has only thrown 3 interceptions in his last thirteen games (456 attempts)
  • The Saints have given up 20+ points in every game this season
  • RB Deuce McAllister has scored four touchdowns in the last two games
  • McAllister is averaging a poor 3.4 yards per carry so far in 2004.  Last season he averaged 4.7 YPC
  • McAllister has only caught 8 receptions in five games on the year

New York Giants (vs. Chicago)

  • The defense is giving up 118.3 rushing yards and 208.7 passing yards per game
  • In the Giants two losses, they were outscored 30 to 59.  In their five wins, they outscored the opposition 121 to 54
  • The Giants are 3rd in the NFL in points given up
  • QB Kurt Warner has a good 7.6 YPA on the year and has a completion percentage of 64.9%
  • RB Tiki Barber continues to excel.  He is on pace to rush for 1,710 yards, put up 804 receiving yards and score 16 touchdowns
  • Barber has five 100-yard rushing games and one 100-yard receiving game this season and has scored in all but one game
  • Barber is ranked 2nd overall in fantasy points this season
  • Giants receivers have caught only one touchdown pass on the year
  • WR Amani Toomer is on pace to catch only 66 passes for 919 yards and hasn’t scored
  • Toomer has had less than 70 yards receiving in six of the seven games this season
  • TE Jeremy Shockey has yet to catch more then 5 passes in a game this season

New York Jets (@ Buffalo)

  • The Jets are 40-48 lifetime against the Bills
  • The Jets have given up 14 points or less in the last five games
  • RB Curtis Martin is having a great season.  He is on pace to rush for 1,824 yards and score 18 times.  He is cementing his place in the Hall of Fame
  • Martin has had five 100-yard rushing games on the year (70 and 77 yards in the other two games)
  • Martin has rushed for at least 1,094 yards in every season of his ten year career
  • In three seasons as a starting quarterback, Chad Pennington has thrown 43 touchdowns and 20 interceptions
  • Pennington has only thrown 2 interceptions on the season (201 pass attempts)
  • Pennington has had three games this season in which he didn’t throw a touchdown pass
  • Pennington has only had one 300-yard passing game in his last twenty-seven starts
  • Pennington threw for 304 yards and a touchdown against the Bills in week five

San Francisco 49ers (vs. Seattle)

  • The offense is averaging 85.3 rushing yards and 231.4 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 115.3 rushing yards and 200.6 passing yards per game
  • QB Ken Dorsey failing as a pro quarterback.  On the year he has completed 53.9% of his throws; has a poor YPA of 5.1 and hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass in 115 attempts
  • QB Tim Rattay has been pretty solid with healthy.  He has completed 64.4% of his throws with a YPA of 7.2 and 7 touchdowns 163 attempts

  • After four straight 100-yard receiving games to start the season, WR Isaac Bruce has cooled off slightly.  He only has 12 receptions for 187 yards in the last three games
  • Bruce has only caught one touchdown pass on the year (44 receptions)
  • Last week against the Dolphins, WR Torry Holt caught only 1 pass for 4 yards.  That was his worst game since the 1999 season

Seattle Seahawks (@ San Francisco)

  • The Seahawks are 5-6 lifetime against the 49ers
  • The offense is averaging 135.3 rushing yards and 221.1 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 99.6 rushing yards and 213.0 passing yards per game
  • The Seahawks only gave up 13 points in the first three weeks.  Since then they have surrendered 105 points in four games
  • In the last three games, QB Matt Hasselbeck has only thrown 2 touchdowns against 7 interceptions
  • Hasselbeck’s YPA (6.6), completion percentage (55.6%) and touchdowns per attempt (1 every 30.3 attempts) are all significantly down from last season

  • Robinson caught only 1 pass for 12 yards against the 49ers earlier this year
  • WR Darrell Jackson has only one 100-yard receiving game on the year but has gone over the 90-yard mark an additional 3 times
  • Jackson caught 7 passes for 97 yards in the first meeting this year
  • In five games against the 49ers, Jackson has caught 28 passes for 373 yards and 2 scores

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. Kansas City)

  • The Buccaneers are 3-5 lifetime against the Chiefs
  • The offense is averaging 85.4 rushing yards and 206.3 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 117.6 rushing yards and 148.6 passing yards per game
  • QB Brian Griese is completing 70.7% of his passes and has 4 touchdowns against 1 interception
  • RB Michael Pittman is averaging 4.1 YPC and 9.1 yards per reception and has scored two touchdowns in four games
  • Rookie WR Michael Clayton is having a strong rookie campaign.  He is on pace to catch 85 receptions for 1,154 yards on the year
  • Clayton has caught 6 ore more passes four times
  • The Buccaneers have only scored nine touchdowns on the season

Washington Redskins (@ Detroit)

  • The Redskins are 27-10 lifetime against the Lions
  • The offense is averaging 113.1 rushing yards and 165.7 passing yards per game
  • The defense is giving up 86.9 rushing yards and 165.4 passing yards per game
  • The Redskins defense is ranked 8th with only 123 points allowed on the season
  • The Redskins have yet to score twenty points in a game this season
  • QB Mark Brunell is averaging an embarrassing 5.3 Y/A.  That number is inexcusable out of a veteran player such as Brunell
  • RB Clinton Portis is on pace to rush for 1,515 yards this season but is averaging only 3.9 YPC
  • Portis has had 20 or more carries in all but one game on the year
  • WR Laveranues Coles is on pace for 87 receptions but has yet to record a touchdown
  • Coles has had two 100-yard receiving games on the year
  • WR Rod Gardner is on pace to catch 59 passes for 875 yards and score 11 touchdowns
  • Gardner has only nine receptions for 89 yards in the last four games (but does have three touchdowns in that span)
