Monday Injury Report - Week 15

Arizona's John Navarre missed the game on Sunday due to his finger injury. Josh McCown almost led his team to a come-from-behind victory, but the Cardinals fell to the lowly 49'ers for the second time this season.

Chicago's QB Craig Krenzel has been placed on IR due to his ankle injury.

Cincinnati's Carson Palmer suffered a sprained left knee in the game on Sunday, and was sidelined for the rest of the game (he was on crutches after the game). Jon Kitna stepped into the starting lineup - Palmer will be evaluated further as the week goes on. A MRI was scheduled for Sunday night. Said Palmer "They don't know exactly what it is. I'm not sure what really happened. I got rolled up on. I felt a little pop." Coach Lewis indicated that the team would have a better idea of Palmers' status after the swelling subsided - hopefully by Wednesday. He'll likely be questionable on Wednesday's injury report.

Cleveland's Jeff Garcia was inserted into the lineup on Sunday vs. Buffalo (McCown was ineffective against the stout Bill's defense), but shortly thereafter suffered a sprained left knee and was carted off the field. Garcia did not return to action. Kelly Holcomb was inactive due to his injured ribs. Garcia's knee injury (a torn knee ligament) led the Browns to place him on IR on Monday which will end his season.

Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger played on Sunday despite a minor leg injury that kept him out of practice on last Wednesday. The team insists that Roethlisberger is not limited due to the problem.

San Francisco's Tim Rattay was unable to play in the game on Sunday due to his injured foot. Ken Dorsey (despite a stomach illness) led the 49ers to their 2nd victory of the season in Rattay's absence.
