Hi Folks,
Here's the Injury Report from this weekend's games looking toward the
third round of the playoffs.
Joe
Quarterbacks
There were no new injuries of note among the QBs to report on teams advancing
after this past weekend's games.
Running Backs
New England's FB Patrick Pass left the game for a time due to a leg injury,
but returned to action. The injury is not considered serious at this time.
Wide Receivers
Philadelphia's Terrell Owens (broken ankle, out on Friday's injury report) is
not expected to be available for the game vs. Atlanta. He continues to rehab
his injury, with a possible Super-Bowl appearance being the current target for
his return to the field (considering the rehab time-frame for this injury).
Tight Ends
Atlanta's TE Alge Crumpler (injured knee, torn PCL) played through his injury
vs. St. Louis and is expected to play vs. Philadelphia.
Offensive Linemen
No new injuries of note to report.
Defensive Backs
New England's DE Richard Seymour (injured left knee, probably a MCL sprain,
but no confirmation from the Patriots on the exact nature of the injury) missed
the game vs. Indianapolis after being listed as "questionable" on
Friday's injury report. His status for this week's game is still up in the air
as of Monday.
Linebackers
New England's LB Roman Phifer was spotted heading into the x-ray room after
the victory over Indianapolis - the injury being examined was unspecified in
the report out of Boston on Monday.
Philadelphia's LB Mark Simoneau suffered an ankle injury during the season
finale vs. Cincinnati, and was inactive vs. Minnesota this past weekend due
to his injury after being listed as "doubtful" on Friday's injury
report.
Pittsburgh's LB Kendrell Bell (groin injury/flu, questionable on Friday's injury
report) was inactive for the team's playoff victory vs. NYJ. He's missed many
games in a row due to this nagging injury.
Defensive Backs
Atlanta's CB Kevin Mathis sprained his ankle during the game on Saturday and
could not continue to play. The severity of the sprain isn't currently known
- Mathis will be evaluated further as the week goes along.
