WR Torry Holt (StL)

High Side by Tom Nadratowski
Torry Holt is part of one of the best scoring machines in NFL history. Let's start with the brains of that offense, QB Kurt Warner. Hearkening back to Dan Fouts, he's one of the most accurate throwers as well as having one of the strongest arms. Holt can score from anywhere on the field at any moment.

With Faulk, Warner and Bruce to compliment him, Holt has the best surrounding cast of talent in the league. Isaac Bruce had more name recognition going into last year. But Holt is the one who produced more - 1, 363 yards and seven scores vs. Bruce's 1, 106 and six. For those of you who get bonuses for TD distance, Holt has had at least one TD greater than 50 yards in each of his three years in the league.

Holt has never had less than 700 yards and six scores since he entered the league. He has produced 1, 300+ yards over the past two years, and there is no reason to think he won't do so again this year.

I won't be shocked if Isaac Bruce outscores Tory Holt this season. Will you? Really? Holt had more catches and yards last season, but only 1 more TD. Is it that you think Holt just has more talent? I just don't see that.

I currently have Bruce and Holt ranked at #7 and #8. Last season Holt finished #8 in fantasy points. I fully expect the Bruce and Holt numbers to look very similar at the end of the season. I just don't see how folks can expect Holt to go through the roof while Bruce falls off the face of the planet. Not going to happen.
