Quarterbacks

 

Philadelphia�s Donovan McNabb reported no soreness in his ankle after the game vs. Atlanta, and is confident that he is just fine. Philadelphia listed no players on the injury report after the game with Atlanta.

 

Tampa Bay�s Brad Johnson needed several stitches to close a gash over his right eye, but returned to action as soon as he could be sewn up. Status: Johnson said the injury did not affect him at all, and it shouldn�t bother him next week either.

 

Tennessee�s Steve McNair suffered a thumb injury on his throwing hand when he numbed it by striking the digit on a Steeler�s helmet during the game. He was out for two plays, but returned to action. Status: Feeling returned to the thumb and McNair is expected to be fine for the title game.

 

Running Backs

 

Tennessee�s Eddie George was knocked out of the game on Saturday with a concussion and was unable to return to action. Status: Coach Fisher says that George is doing well and recovering quickly from the injury. George doesn�t have a history of concussions and is expected to be fine for the title game.

 

Wide Receivers

 

Philadelphia�s Todd Pinkston played the entire game vs. Atlanta in spite of his turf toe injury, and is expected to be fine for practice this week. Philadelphia listed no players on the injury report after the game with Atlanta.

 

Tampa Bay�s Joe Jurevicius dislocated his left pinky finger, but returned to the game vs. San Francisco. Status: The injury is considered minor and shouldn�t impact his status for next week�s NFC title game.

 

 

Tight Ends

 

Oakland�s starting TE Roland Williams was unable to play vs. the Jets due to his knee and toe injuries. Status: Williams looks doubtful for the title game � his status will be re-evaluated later in the week.

 

Kickers

 

No injuries of note to report.

 

Offensive Linemen

 

Tampa Bay�s backup RT Cornell Green sprained his right knee in the game on Sunday and did not return to action.

Status: The extent of the injury is unknown at this time.

 

Tennessee�s starting G Zach Piller aggravated his calf injury and was unable to return to action on Saturday.

Status: Piller has been struggling with this injury for some time, and it has limited his game time on numerous occasions in the late part of the season. The injury will be evaluated further as the week progresses.

Defensive Players

 

Philadelphia�s starting S Brian Dawkins was shaken up after hitting Atlanta�s Michael Vick, but stayed in the game. Status: Dawkins is just fine and is expected to practice and play as usual this week.

 

Tennessee�s starting CB Andre Dyson dislocated his right shoulder in the game vs. Pittsburgh and was unable to return to action. Status: The extent of the injury is unclear at this time. Originally, Coach Fisher said that surgery might be necessary to clear up the problem, but now the staff believes rest and rehabilitation may suffice. Dyson is questionable for the title game, but Fisher is cautiously optimistic that Dyson may be able to play.

 

Tennessee�s DE Jevon Kearse left the game on Saturday due to pain in his healing left foot, but returned to action. Status: A MRI is scheduled to evaluate the source of the pain � Kearse is expected to be available for the title game, at this time.

 

Tennessee�s reserve LB Rocky Boiman strained his left knee in the game on Saturday and was unable to return to action. Status: Boiman has a chance to return to play on special teams for the title game, depending on how the knee progresses during the week.

 

Oakland�s starting DE Trace Armstrong aggravated the groin injury that kept him out of the regular season finale during pre-game warm-ups on Sunday, and only managed to play one down to start the game before taking off the pads and standing on the sidelines. Status: An MRI is scheduled to further evaluate the injury. Armstrong indicated that even with the injury wrapped and taped, he was unable to �support his own weight� � it doesn�t sound like he has a good chance to play vs. the Titans.

 

Oakland�s starting CB�s Tory James and Charles Woodson both played well on Sunday in spite of their fractured fibulas. Status: James said his leg felt fine after the game � Woodson reported discomfort but said the pain was manageable.
