QB Jake Plummer (Ari) and Shaun King (TB) could be targets of the Chicago Bears during the upcoming free agency period.

 

QB Jim Miller (Chi) had a 95% tear of his rotator cuff and has the arm in a sling. He says he�ll be ready for training camp, but the team says they are not counting on him right now. Miller says he wishes he would have undergone surgery back in October.

Running Backs in the News

 

*** Thursday Night Update � RB Anthony Thomas (Chi) will likely be given another chance to be the team�s starting RB again next season.

 

*** Thursday Night Update � RB Emmitt Smith (Dal) may still have a future with the team. According to head coach Bill Parcells, Smith�s future has yet to be determined. There is a lot of talk that if Smith does return to the team, he will not be the starting RB.

 

RB Terrell Davis (Den) doesn�t know if he�ll play next season. Let�s hope he realizes his body can no longer take the pounding.

 

RB Priest Holmes (KC) would be able to play in the Pro Bowl if it were a regular season game. Holmes is said to be 80-85% healthy and will not play in the game.

 

RB Moe Williams (Min) is slated to become a free agent, but the team wants to re-sign him.

 

RB Michael Pittman (TB) suffered a mild concussion in last Sunday�s game. He did return later in the game.

TE Hunter Goodwin and Jim Kleinsasser (Min) are slated to be free agents, but the team wants to re-sign both. Keeping Kleinsasser appears to be a priority for the team.

 

TE Jeremy Brigham (Oak) was added to the active roster for the Super Bowl.

 

TE Frank Wycheck (Ten) wants to return to the team next season, but he�ll likely have to take a pay cut to do so.
