Essential News Quarterbacks: QB Tim Couch (Cle) has not officially been named the starter by thecoach, but he has looked sharp with the first unit in practice, named co-captain for the game and was upgraded on the Friday injury report. We believe he is starting. QB Joey Harrington (Det) gets his first NFL start this week. QB Steve McNair (Ten) has a sore neck and shoulder, but practiced Thursday and Friday and will start as expected. QB Shane Matthews (Was) appears on the injury report as questionable, but is expected to start. Rondell Mealey is expected to start in his place, but may share carries with a few others too. Ahman Green will definitely start in week 4. RB Eddie George (Ten) was in a walking boot earlier in the week, but it has since been removed. He did not practice on Thursday, but was able to practice on Friday. He is not 100%, but is expected to start. The team will not announce the starter until right before game-time. TE Jimmy Kleinsasser (Min) is out for 2-4 weeks with a sore knee. TE Byron Chamberlain (Min) made it through Friday's practice, but he was not sharp. Hunter Goodwin will play if Byron is a last minute scratch. Tampa Bay signed TE Rickey Dudley.
