Upgrades
QB Tommy Maddox (PIT) - Maddox continues his hot hand with 473 passing yards and four touchdown passes in Sunday's game versus Atlanta. He is averaging 2.5 touchdown passes per game in his last 4 games. Obviously, it is a very good idea to keep Maddox in your lineup.

QB Michael Vick (ATL) - The Steelers blitzed Vick quite often, but the talented 2nd year pro passed the test with 294 passing yards, 52 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns in leading the Falcons back from 17 points down to get a tie. Vick continues to amaze me.

QB Kurt Warner (STL) - Warner could return to the lineup next week. Despite the outstanding play by Marc Bulger, Warner will return to the starting lineup when he is healthy.

QB Brett Favre (GB) - Favre threw for 351 yards and two touchdowns against Detroit on Sunday. He had 295 yards passing at halftime. He continues to show no signs of the sprained knee that forced him out of the Washington game. Favre is leading the race for league MVP.

QB Peyton Manning (IND) - Manning looked good against the Eagles on Sunday. He completed 18-of-23 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns. The emergence of RB James Mungro allowed the Colts to utilize the play action pass in the Sunday's game. Manning connected with Marvin Harrison on two deep throws. Manning has now thrown for multiple touchdown passes in six of the nine games for the Colts this season.

*****Waiver Wire***** QB Todd Bouman (MIN) - Culpepper was benched due to lack of productivity against the Giants on Sunday. Todd Bouman came into the lineup and nearly led the Vikings to a victory over the Giants. Bouman could be the starter next week. This is not a good sign for Culpepper. If you need a quarterback, grab Bouman.

*****Waiver Wire***** QB Rodney Peete (CAR) - Peete finished with 310 passing yards and two touchdowns in his first game back from knee surgery. He will be a welcome addition to the Panthers lineup. The team's offense has struggled without Peete in the lineup.

RB Michael Bennett (MIN) - Bennett gained 167 rushing yards and scored a touchdown. Bennett scored on a 78-yard run in the 4th quarter. Bennett also scored on a long run last week (85 yards). He is a hot play at the current time.

RB Tiki Barber (NYG) - Barber rushed for 127 yards and scored a touchdown against Minnesota on Sunday. Barber also finished with 7 catches for 46 yards. Since Jim Fassel took control of the play calling, Barber's production has increased. Barber finished last weeks game with 101 rushing yards and 4 catches for 62 yards. He produces when the Giants give him the ball. Obviously, keep Barber in your lineup.

RB Jamal Lewis (BAL) - Lewis rushed for 135 yards and scored two touchdowns against Cincinnati on Sunday. Lewis, a big question mark at the start of the season, has rushed for 781 yards and scored 5 touchdowns this season. He is building momentum for a strong second half of the season.

*****Waiver Wire***** RB James Mungro (IND) - Mungro was effective against the Eagles on Sunday. He rushed for 114 yards and scored two touchdowns. Look for Mungro to start for the Colts until Edgerrin James returns from his hamstring injury. Mungro was productive on Sunday and should remain productive as long as he gets the start. If he is available, pick him up.

RB James Stewart (DET) - Stewart rushed for 122 yards on 15 carries Sunday against Green Bay. Stewart is a solid #2 fantasy back. He has gained 675 rushing yards on the season while averaging 4.7 yards per carry. The Lions offense is inconsistent, which is the only liability from starting Stewart every week.

RB Garrison Hearst (SF) - The hamstring injury that sidelined Hearst appears healthy. Hearst gained 90 total yards and a touchdown in Sunday's game versus Kansas City. The return to 100% health earns the upgrade for Hearst.

RB Amos Zeroue (PIT) - Can the Steelers afford to place Zeroue back on the bench when Bettis returns? Zeroue rushed for 123 yards on 37 carries. It will be interesting to see what happens. There is a good chance that "The Bus" will breakdown one more time this season.

WR Plaxico Burress (PIT) - Burress caught nine passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns against Atlanta. He has been on the upgrades list for several weeks. Burress has been very impressive since the insertion of Tommy Maddox into the starting lineup. Obviously, keep him in your lineup.

WR Donald Driver (GB) - Driver caught 11 passes for 130 yards against Detroit on Sunday. Driver has become a personal favorite of Favre. Look for Driver's production to continue for the remainder of the season. He has it all…speed, agility and hands.

WR Marvin Harrison (IND) - Harrison caught six passes for 137 yards and scored two touchdowns against Philadelphia. Last week, I declared Harrison's season as "somewhat disappointing through 8 weeks". Pardon my mistake, but I should have clarified my reasoning. Harrison's season was excellent in weeks 1-8 with regards to receptions and receiving yardage. However, he scored just 3 touchdowns in the first 8 weeks and this is disappointing. Harrison has scored 3 touchdowns in the last 2 weeks and looks quite impressive in all categories.

WR Isaac Bruce (STL) - Bruce finished with 10 catches for 163 yards and three scores against San Diego on Sunday. Bruce has been very disappointing this season. He had just 430 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' first eight games. Kurt Warner is expected to return next week, which should help Bruce become more consistent.

*****Waiver Wire***** WR Reggie Wayne (IND) - Wayne started over Qadry Ismail against Philadelphia and caught 6 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown. Grab Wayne if he is available. With Edgerrin James out, look for the Colts to pass more often. Wayne is showing signs of productivity in the last 2 weeks. He caught five passes for 93 yards last week.

*****Waiver Wire***** WR Chad Johnson (CIN) - Johnson had seven catches for 110 yards and scored a touchdown against Baltimore on Sunday. Johnson is the #1 option in the Bengals passing game. The Bengals offense is very inconsistent, which prevents Johnson from becoming a solid fantasy option on a weekly basis. Good fantasy receivers come from consistent, productive passing offenses.

*****Waiver Wire***** WR Shawn Jefferson (ATL) - Jefferson caught 9 passes for 131 yards and scored a touchdown against Pittsburgh. More importantly, Jefferson appeared to be the favorite target of Michael Vick. Grab him as your 5th receiver.

*****Waiver Wire***** WR Ron Dixon (NYG) - With Ike Hilliard out for the season, Ron Dixon is an intriguing pickup. He caught 4 passes for 107 yards against Minnesota. If you need a receiver, give Dixon a chance.

Downgrades

QB Daunte Culpepper (MIN) - Culpepper was benched due to lack of productivity against the Giants on Sunday. Todd Bouman came into the lineup and nearly led the Vikings to a victory over the Giants. Bouman could be the starter next week. This is not a good sign for Culpepper. We will keep you updated with the latest news as we hear it.

QB Chris Chandler (CHI) - Chandler left Sunday's game against New England with a sprained neck. Injuries continue to follow Chandler to wherever he goes.

QB Jake Plummer (ARI) - It is difficult to imagine Plummer being productive without David Boston. Plummer threw for 226 yards, 0 touchdowns and 2 interceptions against Seattle. His value is extremely low.

RB Marcel Shipp (ARI) - Shipp was more productive than Thomas Jones against Seattle was. However, Shipp fumbled the ball twice, which could prevent him from being named the feature back. Shipp gained 85 rushing yards to Jones' 24 yards. If Shipp can hold onto the football, he will be the starter in Arizona.

RB Ahman Green (GB) - Green suffered a mild concussion in Sunday's game against Detroit. This is not expected to be serious, but it is worth a downgrade.

RB Marshall Faulk (STL) - Faulk left Sunday's game against San Diego in the fourth quarter because of an ankle injury. The severity of the injury has not been determined.

RB Antowain Smith (NE) - Smith gained 41 rushing yards on 10 carries. Smith will need more than 10 carries to be productive.

WR David Boston (ARI) - Boston is likely out for the season with a knee injury.

WR Qadry Ismail (IND) - Reggie Wayne is the new starter opposite Marvin Harrison. Ismail's value drops dramatically.
