Upgrades
QB Michael Vick (ATL) - Michael Vick threw for 195 yards and rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns today. Vick is emerging into one of the best quarterbacks in the league and should be considered the #1 dynasty quarterback in fantasy football. In addition, Vick has yet to be intercepted this season. He is darn good! Wow.

QB Jeff Garcia (SF) -Garcia threw for 252 yards and four touchdowns this week. In the last few weeks, Garcia has started to show signs of producing like a top tier quarterback once again. Garcia posted his best statistics of the season in Sunday's game against the Cardinals. He should be a top producer as the season progresses. Garcia has stopped focused on Terrell Owens intently and started making quality reads in the offense. Matchups versus Oakland and Kansas City in his next two games should allow Garcia to post excellent numbers.

QB Daunte Culpepper (MIN) - Culpepper finished Sunday's game with 216 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions. He completed 22 of 29 passes and looked good throwing the ball. This is a good sign for Culpepper. He threw 12 interceptions in his first six games of the season. He was very efficient and spread the ball around effectively. Seven different receivers caught passes for the Vikings.

****Waiver Wire***** QB Tim Couch (CLE) - Couch completed 33 of 49 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns against the Jets. Keep in mind; this was a quality outing AGAINST the JETS. However, this is a good sign for Couch. More than likely Couch is available in your league. He may not be the best option, but he does have good potential, especially if the Browns are going to pass the ball 49 times again.

QB Steve McNair (TEN) - The return of Derrick Mason to the lineup ignited the passing game. McNair finished with 215 passing yards and 3 touchdowns (2 of the touchdowns were thrown to Derrick Mason). Of course, the insertion of another passing weapon will increase McNair's value.

QB Matt Hasselbeck (SEA) - Dilfer tore his right Achilles' tendon in the second quarter of Sunday's game. Hasselbeck is not expected to be a quality fantasy option, but he will be the starter in Seattle. Hasselbeck completed 12 of 19 passes for 131 yards and one interception in replacing Dilfer.

RB Emmitt Smith (DAL) - Congratulations to the best fantasy back of the 90's!

RB Kevan Barlow (SF) - Garrison Hearst left Sunday's game with a hamstring injury. Barlow performed quite well in Hearst's absence. If Hearst's hamstring injury lingers, Barlow will take over as the feature back in San Francisco's offense. Barlow finished with 86 total yards and 2 touchdowns.

RB James Stewart (DET) - Stewart finished with 136 total yards and 1 touchdown on Sunday. Stewart has two consecutive good performances and is becoming a solid #2 fantasy running back option. The arrival of Joey Harrington continues to help Stewart and the Lions offense.

RB Travis Henry (BUF) - Despite finishing with just 64 rushing yards, Henry still managed to score two touchdowns. As long as the Bills passing offense is productive, Henry will continue to see scoring opportunities in the red zone. Keep him in the lineup.

RB Deuce McAllister (NO) - McAllister had another excellent game and solidified himself as a top-5 fantasy back this season. He totaled 171 yards and scored three touchdowns. Deuce looks unstoppable and should remain a fantasy force for the remainder of the season.

RB Clinton Portis (DEN) - Portis rushed for 111 yards on 26 carries with two touchdowns against New England. Since claiming the starting job in Denver, Portis has 516 yards rushing and five touchdowns in six games. Portis is a top-10 running back and should get better as the season progresses. He looks very good.

RB Warrick Dunn (ATL) - With TJ Duckett out with a foot injury, Dunn was able to produce. He finished Sunday's game with 142 rushing yards and a score. Dunn's value will be directly related to the health of Duckett. If Duckett is healthy, he will continue to receive the majority of carries. However, this is a good sign for Dunn's fantasy owners. Dunn earned confidence and future touches with his performance on Sunday.

RB Eddie George (TEN) - George topped the 100-yard rushing mark once again Sunday. George continues to build momentum for a strong second half of the season. With Derrick Mason back in the lineup, the offense is more balanced, which will lead to more running room for George.

RB Corey Dillon (CIN) - The streaky Dillon was hot on Sunday. He rushed 30 times for 138 yards and a touchdown today. Dillon remains one of the most explosive running backs in the game. Keep starting Dillon against weaker opponents. If you have a good depth, bench Dillon against good defenses.

WR Tim Brown (OAK) - Brown caught 13 passes for 144 yards against Kansas City. The Raiders got Brown into the offense early and continued using him. Brown caught four passes on the opening drive to start his day. Do not expect this production on a consistent basis.

WR Randy Moss (MIN) - Moss finished with nine catches for 119 yards and a touchdown Sunday. Moss scored his first touchdown since week 2. Moss and Culpepper connected quite nicely in Sunday's game. Look for a strong second half surge by Moss.

WR Ed McCaffrey (DEN) - McCaffrey caught eight passes for 116 yards against New England. Owners were starting to question the health of McCaffrey's leg. His legs looked very nice on Sunday.

WR Terrell Owens (SF) - Owens had eight catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns against Arizona. He looked very "sharpie" on Sunday. Look for a strong second half of the season for Owens. He remains a top receiver despite struggling earlier this season.

****Waiver Wire***** WR Chad Johnson (CIN) - Johnson looked good against Tennessee with 6 catches for 86 yards. Johnson is slowly becoming the top-receiving weapon in Cincinnati and should be picked up immediately.

WR Derrick Mason (TEN) - Mason caught seven passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's game. Mason was shut out of the end zone heading into Sunday's game. He has been out since separating his shoulder in week 4. The Titans offense looked very efficient with Mason back in the lineup. Look for more continued good play from Mason.

Downgrades

QB Trent Dilfer (SEA) - Dilfer tore his right Achilles' tendon in the second quarter of Sunday's game. He is out for the season.

QB Rob Johnson (TB) - Johnson made our list plenty of times last year. I just could not pass up this opportunity. Johnson completed 22 of 33 passes for 179 yards, 0 touchdowns and one interception. More importantly, Johnson failed to lead the Buccaneers to a score.

RB Michael Pittman (TB) - Pittman has been very disappointing this season. He finished Sunday's game against Carolina with 36 rushing yards on 12 carries. It is time to put Pittman on the bench until he proves to be productive.

RB Anthony Thomas (CHI) - Thomas rushed for 18 yards on a meager nine carries in Sunday's game. The Bears fell behind early and were forced to pass. Regardless, Thomas has been a major disappointment this season. Strongly consider benching Thomas until he proves to be productive, if you have decent options on the bench.

RB Garrison Hearst (SF) - Garrison Hearst left Sunday's game with a hamstring injury. Barlow performed quite well in Hearst's absence. If Hearst's hamstring injury lingers, Barlow will take over as the feature back in San Francisco's offense.

WR Darrell Jackson (SEA) - Darrell Jackson suffered a concussion during the Sunday's game. Following the game, he had a seizure in the locker room. Let us hope that Jackson is alright.

WR Antonio Bryant (DAL) - The Dallas quarterback situation continues to look horrible. Consistent production at the receiver position can only be derived by getting consistent production out of the quarterback position. Now, add a rookie to the mix and you have a mess.

WR Az-Zahir Hakim (DET) - The return of Germane Crowell downgrades Hakim. Hakim managed three catches for 33 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. The touchdown was the result of 2-3 deflections that bounced into the hands of Hakim in the end zone. Hakim does not look like a quality receiving option.

WR Keyshawn Johnson (TB) - Keyshawn looked horrible on Sunday with just 22 yards on two receptions. Heck, many receivers have looked horrible with Rob Johnson at quarterback.
