With his general dominance and his week 14-16 performances, it's getting to the point where it's a real challenge to try to lose a league with Faulk on your squad. Here's how good Marshall is: even if he had never caught a single pass, he'd be the #3 ranked RB over the past two years. Meanwhile, if you call him a WR and count only his receiving stats, he'd be the #24 ranked WR over the past two years. Having Faulk is literally like being able to start an extra guy in your lineup. He's Curtis Martin and Keyshawn Johnson rolled into one.

Faulk, of course, led all players in value last year. By my calculations, his value was 206. In the grand scheme of things, 206 is a pretty darn fine year, but it's not historic. It's not in contention for one of the greatest fantasy seasons of all time, or anything like that. But....

What makes Faulk's 2001 season remarkable is the gap in value between him and the #2 man, Priest Holmes. There was a 64-point gap there, and that's the biggest such margin since 1977. Here's the full list:
