Joe Horn never finished above the baseline until his fifth season. That's not particularly rare for a wide receiver. What is rare is how well he's done since then. Most late-developing WRs either fade away very quickly (James Jett, Brett Perriman) or settle into fine but fairly unexciting careers (Keenan McCardell, Qadry Ismail). Horn is one of the few to turn in a top 10 season. He's already got two of them and counting. Here's a list of WRs whose first season above the baseline was their fifth or later.
