Monday Injury Report

Quarterbacks

New York Giants' starting QB Kerry Collins (high ankle sprain) missed the game on Sunday, as expected.
Status: Even though Collins' official status was "doubtful", coach Fassel conceded to the New York media last week that Collins was unlikely to take the field again in 2003.

Seattle's starting QB Matt Hasselbeck injured his left (non-throwing) shoulder on Sunday, and tweaked an ankle as well.
Status: The injury is a torn labrum in the non-throwing shoulder. Hasselbeck said that he could rehab the injury after the season and that the injury won't stop him from playing on Sunday. The ankle-sprain is not a high ankle sprain, and isn't expected to keep Hasselbeck off the field either.

Tennessee's Steve McNair managed to play through his injuries on Sunday.
Status: McNair still has a broken bone spur in an ankle, and a calf problem, but keeps finding ways to take the field.

Running Backs

Carolina's Stephen Davis (ankle) missed the game on Sunday.
Status: Davis was listed as questionable, but coach Fox had made it clear before the game that he intended to rest certain key players so that they would be healed for the playoffs. Davis may miss the final game of the season, as well.

Minnesota's starting RB Michael Bennett struggled with his sprained right ankle on Sunday, and Coach Tice indicated it may not be 100% until after the season.
Status: Onterrio Smith has come up big in his chances, and looks like he'll form a RBBC with Bennett and Williams even after Bennett's ankle heals.

Philadelphia's backup RB Correll Buckhalter missed the game on Sunday due to a team suspension. He missed a team meeting and was late to a walk-through (thus the suspension).

San Francisco's starting RB Garrison Hearst (knee) missed the game on Sunday.
Status: Hearst was listed as doubtful on the Friday injury report.

Washington's starting RB Trung Canidate (ankle) and backup RB Ladell Betts (forearm) missed the game on Sunday.
Status: Canidate was questionable, and Betts doubtful, on the Friday injury report.

Denver's starting RB Clinton Portis missed the game on Sunday, due to his injured knee/ankle.
Status: Portis was listed as questionable on Friday, but just couldn't go come game-time. He may be held out this week as well, as Quentin Griffin and Mike Anderson did just fine playing RB in his absence (and the team has clinched a playoff spot).

Miami's starting RB Ricky Williams needed two pain killing injections in his sore left shoulder in order to stay in the game, and afterward conceded that he may need post-season surgery to correct the problem.

Miami's starting FB Rob Konrad missed the game on Sunday (concussion).
Status: Konrad was listed as out on Friday.

San Diego's starting RB Ladainian Tomlinson injured his elbow early in the game on Sunday and was held out of the final series of the game due to the injury.
Status: The elbow will be evaluated further as the week goes along, but it doesn't appear serious at this point.

San Diego's FB Andrew Pinnock suffered a sprained ankle in the game on Sunday.
Status: Pinnock's status for next week is unknown at the current time.

Wide Receivers

Detroit's starting WR Bill Schroeder suffered a concussion in the game on Sunday.
Status: The severity of the concussion is not currently known: Schroeder will be evaluated further as the week goes along.

Detroit's reserve WR/KR Eddie Drummond (ankle/knee) missed the game on Sunday.
Status: Drummond was listed as questionable on Friday.

New Orleans' starting WR Joe Horn injured his shoulder in the game on Sunday.
Status: The severity of the injury is not currently known.

New York Giants' starting WR Ike Hilliard (knee) missed the game on Sunday, as expected.
Status: Hilliard was listed as doubtful on Friday.

St. Louis' starting WR Isaac Bruce missed the game on Sunday due to his injured ankle.
