Quarterbacks

QB Drew Henson (Hou) is still not away from the Yankees organization.  However, the Texans still hope to sign and trade him to another team.

QB Tom Brady (NE) has not been sacked in this year’s playoffs.

QB Donovan McNabb (Phi) says his team “needs firepower”.  No kidding.


Running Backs

RB Damien Anderson (Ari) has been released from the hospital after recovering from injuries sustained when his vehicle rolled in an accident near Interstate 10 in Arizona.  He hopes to take part in all of the team’s off-season workouts (which begin in March).

RB Stephen Davis (Car) does not even appear on the injury report.

RB Patrick Pass (NE) should play this weekend despite his injured ankle.

RB Jerome Bettis (Pit) is willing to take a pay cut and a lesser role in order to return to Pittsburgh for the 2004 season.


Wide Receivers

WR Snoop Minnis (Mia) has been signed by the team.

WR Jerry Rice (Oak) says he will retire after the 2004 season.

WR Mike Furrey (StL) has signed a one-year extension with the team.


Tight Ends

TE Christian Fauria (NE) should play on Sunday despite his injured leg.


Place Kickers & Special Teamers

PK Jeff Reed (Pit) underwent hip surgery and is expected to require three months of rehab.


Offensive Linemen

G Jermane Mayberry (Phi) underwent surgery on his left knee and should be ready for training camp.

G Bobbie Williams (Phi) filled in for the injured Jermane Mayberry this season but will likely leave the team this off-season in search of a starting job.

C Jeremy Newberry (SF) underwent surgery on his ankle and should be ready for training camp.


Defensive Linemen

DE Anthony Pleasant (NE) is considering retiring after this season (which is his 14th).


Linebackers

LB Tedy Bruschi (NE) will play on Sunday despite his calf injury.

Coaches

OC Norv Turner (Oak) has agreed to become the team’s head coach.
