Running Backs
RB Damien Anderson (Ari) has been released from the hospital
after recovering from injuries sustained when his vehicle rolled in an accident
near Interstate 10 in Arizona. He hopes to take part in all of the team’s
off-season workouts (which begin in March).
*** THURSDAY UPDATE *** RB Emmitt Smith (Ari) says he will honor his contract and return for the 2004 season.
RB Stephen Davis (Car) does not even appear on the injury
report.
*** FRIDAY UPDATE *** RB Domanick Davis (Hou) has been named the 2003 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year.
*** FRIDAY UPDATE *** RB Larry Johnson (KC) is the subject of rumors of a trade to Pittsburgh for WR Plaxico Burress. Chiefs director of public relations chuckled when asked about. He replied with "It's ridiculous. There's nothing to it."
RB Patrick Pass (NE) should play this weekend despite his
injured ankle.
RB Jerome Bettis (Pit) is willing to take a pay cut and a
lesser role in order to return to Pittsburgh
for the 2004 season.

WR Snoop Minnis (Mia) has been signed by the team.
WR Jerry Rice (Oak) says he will retire after the 2004
season.

Mayberry this season but will likely leave the team this off-season in search
of a starting job.
